20 Instagram Content Ideas for Lash Studios: Never Run Out of Things to Post Again

If you've already read my previous article about building an Instagram account as a lash artist, you've probably realized something.

The hardest part isn't creating the account.

It isn't learning how to post.

It's answering one simple question:

"What should I post today?"

I think almost everyone who uses Instagram has experienced this.

You open the app.

You tap "Create Post."

Then...

You close it again.

Not because you're lazy.

But because you genuinely don't know what to share.

The good news?

You don't need to come up with viral content.

In fact, the most effective posts usually come directly from the work you're already doing every day.

Here are twenty content ideas that I—and many of my students—use regularly.

1. A Lash Set You Just Finished

This will always be one of the easiest and most effective types of content.

But instead of simply posting a photo and writing:

"Volume Set."

Tell a little story.

For example:

  • What was your client's goal?
  • What did you recommend?
  • Why did you choose this particular style?

Clients love understanding the thought process behind your work.

2. Before & After Photos

There's no need for heavy editing.

A simple, honest before-and-after comparison helps potential clients understand what your service can achieve.

Especially for someone considering lash extensions for the first time.

3. Your Workspace

A clean beauty bed.

Beautiful natural light.

Neatly organized tools.

Sometimes these photos communicate professionalism even better than pictures of finished lash sets.

4. Share a Lash Aftercare Tip

For example:

  • Why shouldn't you rub your eyes?
  • How often should lash fills be scheduled?
  • Can you wear mascara with lash extensions?

You're helping your audience.

At the same time, you're demonstrating your expertise.

5. Introduce a Product You Love Using

Which lashes do you enjoy working with?

What adhesive do you trust?

Which tweezers make your work easier?

You don't have to advertise anything.

Simply explain why you personally enjoy using these tools.

6. Something New You've Learned

Clients appreciate professionals who never stop learning.

If you've attended a workshop...

Practiced a new technique...

Or completed a training course...

Share it.

Not to impress people.

But to show that you're continually investing in your skills.

7. A Memorable Story From Your Workday

Without revealing any personal information, you might write something like:

"One of my clients told me today that this was the first time she felt confident taking close-up selfies."

Small stories often create far more emotional connection than advertisements.

8. Answer a Frequently Asked Question

For example:

  • Do lash extensions hurt?
  • Will they damage my natural lashes?
  • How often should I come back for fills?

Your clients are already giving you endless content ideas simply by asking questions every week.

9. Show Your Tool Cleaning Process

This type of content is especially valuable for European clients.

Cleanliness and hygiene build trust.

Don't hesitate to show people how carefully you maintain your equipment.

10. A Small Corner of Your Salon

A fresh bouquet of flowers.

A comfortable chair.

A sunny window.

Or the coffee you prepare for your clients.

These little details help your salon feel warm and welcoming.

11. Share a Common Lash Aftercare Mistake

Avoid sounding judgmental.

Instead, educate gently.

For example:

"Many clients think brushing their lashes frequently will make them look better. In reality, gently brushing them once or twice a day is more than enough."

Helpful content like this builds trust.

12. Record a Time-Lapse of Your Work

You don't need to explain anything.

Simply place your phone on a tripod and record your work from start to finish.

Clients are often fascinated by the process behind a beautiful lash set.

13. Share a Client Review

With your client's permission, post their review.

It doesn't have to be long.

A few honest words from a happy client are often far more powerful than any advertisement.

14. Introduce Yourself

It sounds simple.

Yet surprisingly few lash artists actually introduce themselves.

Tell people:

  • When you started your lash journey.
  • Why you fell in love with this profession.
  • Why you chose to specialize in lash extensions.

Clients like knowing the person they'll trust with their eyes.

15. Share a Day in Your Salon

Not every post has to be perfect.

Show simple moments such as:

  • Preparing the salon in the morning.
  • Making yourself a cup of coffee.
  • Welcoming your first client.
  • Cleaning up at the end of the day.

These everyday moments make your business feel authentic.

16. Bust a Common Lash Myth

For example:

  • Do lash extensions damage natural lashes?
  • Are longer lashes always more beautiful?
  • Does Volume always mean dramatic?

Educational posts like these are often saved and shared by potential clients.

17. Talk About a Training Course You've Taken

There's no need to tell people you're better than anyone else.

Simply share what you've learned.

It shows that you're committed to continuous improvement.

Clients appreciate professionals who never stop growing.

18. Share One of Your Goals

For example:

"This year I want to become certified in Brow Lamination."

Or:

"My current goal is to improve my Hybrid Set application time."

People enjoy following someone's personal and professional journey.

19. Show the Behind-the-Scenes of Your Photography

Let your audience see:

  • How you photograph your lash sets.
  • How you position the lighting.
  • Or even the funny moments while trying to find the perfect angle.

Behind-the-scenes content feels genuine and relatable.

20. Share Something You're Grateful For

Maybe it's:

  • A client returning for her tenth appointment.
  • A student graduating from your training.
  • A fully booked day at the salon.

Sometimes gratitude itself creates beautiful content.

One Final Thought

If you look closely, you'll notice something.

None of these twenty content ideas require:

  • Expensive equipment.
  • Professional video editing skills.
  • Thousands of followers.
  • Or content designed to go viral.

Every single idea comes directly from your everyday work.

That's exactly how I think about Instagram.

Don't try to become a full-time content creator.

Become a beauty professional who's willing to share their journey.

People don't follow you because you post the most beautiful photos.

They follow you because they feel they're getting to know a real person.

And in the beauty industry, trust will always be more valuable than any social media algorithm.
